SAGLIN-TC · 2 CONFIGURATIONS
Flat + V-cut
on a Single Platform
The hybrid platform combining flat window patching and V-cut on one machine. Built for converters serving both commodity and premium carton segments — approximately 40% capex saving compared to running two separate machines.
One machine. Both markets.
The capex-efficient platform.
The SAGLIN-TC series solves the structural problem facing converters who serve both the commodity flat-window and the premium V-cut segments: two structurally different machines mean double the capital outlay, double the floor space, and double the operator training — but neither machine runs at full utilisation. The TC collapses both processes onto a single platform.
“For converters whose order book mixes commodity tissue box runs with premium cosmetic V-cut campaigns, the TC recovers the 40% capex gap that would otherwise be lost to underutilised dedicated machines.”
The platform integrates a complete flat-patching unit (roller cutter, transverse cutter, ±1 mm accuracy) alongside a dedicated V-cut unit (digital corner cutting, optional heater roller, embossing dies, and ±0.5 mm V-cut positioning). A single feeder, a single gluing station, and a single delivery unit serve both processes — operators switch between flat and V-cut work without re-feeding the line.
Two configurations available: TC800 covers cartons up to 750×800 mm, and TC1050 extends to 750×1050 mm. Every TC machine ships with electrical and pneumatic specifications adapted for the Russian market (380V / 50Hz, EAC support). Installation, commissioning, and operator training are handled by our partner HD RUS LLC in the Moscow region.
Why the TC wins
- Flat + V-cut on one platform — approximately −40% capex
- One feeder, one gluing station, one delivery unit serves both processes
- Six independent servo control units — no clutch transmission
- Roller cutter + transverse cutter for flat patching speed
- Digital corner cutting unit for V-cut work with embossing & punching options
- Optional heater roller for 0.25–0.40 mm thick film handling
TC800 vs TC1050.
Verified specifications. Both configurations integrate flat patching and V-cut on a single platform — the difference is the maximum sheet size. TC800 covers most cosmetic and tissue box formats; TC1050 extends to oversized cosmetic and gift packaging.

The hybrid platform provides two flat-patching speed ranges (3,000–9,000 pcs/h and 6,000–18,000 pcs/h) for different format and paper thickness combinations. V-cut operates at 7,000 pcs/h regardless of configuration. Switching between flat and V-cut work requires only die changes on the corner cutting unit. Specifications subject to continuous improvement.
One platform recovers 40% of capex.
A converter who orders both a dedicated VCUT machine (for V-cut premium work) and a dedicated TC-H machine (for commodity flat patching) faces approximately double the capital investment and floor space — but in practice, neither machine runs at full utilisation. V-cut campaigns are seasonal and project-based; commodity flat-patching is steady but margin-thin. Together they would consume the capacity of one well-utilised machine.
The TC collapses both processes onto a single platform with shared infrastructure: one feeder, one gluing station, one delivery unit, one operator. The capex saving versus running two separate dedicated machines is approximately 40%, and the floor-space saving is roughly 50%. For mid-size converters, contract packagers, and private-label specialists, this is the difference between a viable equipment plan and an over-stretched balance sheet.
The trade-off: peak speeds on flat patching are not as high as a dedicated TC-H machine, and V-cut work shares the line with flat campaigns. For converters where flat patching is the dominant volume (over 70% of throughput), a dedicated TC-H plus occasional V-cut subcontracting may be more economical. The TC is optimal when both segments are meaningful and both add up to one machine’s utilisation.
- Contract converters running mixed commodity + premium accounts
- Private-label specialists with seasonal V-cut campaigns
- Mid-size factories with both tissue box and cosmetic accounts
- Startups and growth-stage converters preserving capex flexibility
Capex Saving vs Two Machines
The −40% capex saving versus running a dedicated VCUT plus a dedicated TC-H is the structural argument for the TC — recovering the gap between what dedicated machines cost and what they actually deliver in real-world utilisation.
Eight features for hybrid window patching.
The TC is engineered as a true integrated platform — not as a flat patching machine retrofitted with a V-cut tool. Here is what differentiates a dedicated hybrid architecture.
Shared Feeder for Both Processes
One independent servo-controlled belt feeder serves flat patching and V-cut work. Air suction with belt cleaning. Intermittent delivery distance adjusts to paper length automatically.
Shared Gluing Station
One stainless-steel tube roller gluing system with slider-adjustable thickness. Flexible plate engraved per product. Position adjusts without stopping. Pull-out maintenance design.
Roller Cutter Film Patching
Three independent servo systems control film length, position, and cutter timing for flat patching. German imported blades. Belt transmission with independently controlled air suction zones.
Transverse Cutter Patching
Independent servo control for transverse film patching. Front-register positioning, automatic film cutting at ±0.5 mm. With heater option, dual pressing cylinders prevent loose-glue defects.
Digital Corner Cutting Unit
Two corner cut die bases for V-cut work. Standard: 3 × 6×25 mm V-cut dies. With heater: 2 × 30×8 mm + 1 × 6×25 mm. Embossing, round hole, cross creasing, and camera sensor available.
Optional Heater Roller
Independent temperature controller with double large-size heating rollers. Mirror-face treated to prevent scratching. Extends film range to 0.40 mm thick BOPP and PET.
Soft Conveyor Delivery
Shared delivery unit serves both flat and V-cut work. Soft conveyor belt prevents crushing. Counting function with adjustable spacing for accurate batch separation.
Print Register Camera (Opt.)
SICK photoelectric camera sensor for pre-printed film registration. Required for cartons with branded window film where film print must align with carton graphics.
Where the TC performs.
The TC is built for converters whose order book genuinely mixes commodity flat work and premium V-cut campaigns. If your throughput is dominantly one or the other, a dedicated machine is more efficient.
Mixed Account Portfolio
Contract converters serving multiple end-brand accounts — some demanding commodity flat windows, others premium V-cut. The TC delivers both formats from one capex line.
Seasonal Premium Campaigns
Private-label specialists running steady commodity production with occasional premium V-cut campaigns (holiday gift packaging, limited-edition cosmetic launches). The hybrid platform absorbs both.
Tissue + Cosmetic Accounts
Mid-size factories with both tissue box accounts (commodity volume) and cosmetic accounts (V-cut premium). The TC avoids the underutilisation that would plague two dedicated machines.
Startup / Capacity-Building
Startup and growth-stage converters preserving capex flexibility. The TC enters both market segments with a single equipment purchase — adding dedicated machines later as volume justifies.
Built with global-brand components.
The TC uses the same component baseline as the rest of the SAGLIN window patching platform — production-grade components selected for precision and longevity. No compromise to lower the price of the hybrid platform.
