SAGLIN-GST-1060 + SAGLIN-GUV/IR-1060
Screen Spot UV
Coating Line
A dedicated high-gloss and textured varnish line — stop-cylinder screen coating feeding a UV/IR curing tunnel with a wrinkle-effect lamp set for tactile matte-on-gloss finishes.
One screen press.
One UV/IR curing tunnel. One line.
The SAGLIN Screen Spot UV Coating Line pairs the SAGLIN-GST-1060 full-automatic stop-cylinder screen press with the SAGLIN-GUV/IR-1060 curing unit. The screen press applies the UV varnish — full-flood or spot, with ≤0.1 mm registration — and the GUV/IR tunnel cures it with a 1,100 mm effective curing width.
“High-gloss, spot-gloss, and tactile texture in one dedicated line — heavy screen-laid varnish films that roller coating cannot match.”
Screen printing lays down a far thicker varnish film than roller or blanket coating, which is what gives screen spot UV its signature high build and sharp gloss-to-matte contrast. The GUV/IR unit combines UV lamps for curing, IR lamps for levelling, and a dedicated wrinkle-effect lamp set that produces tactile matte-textured (orange-peel / wrinkle) finishes alongside high-gloss areas.
Conveyor speed is variable from 0 to 50 m/min, so curing can be tuned to varnish type and effect. The compact curing unit (1,200 kg, 4.5 m long) integrates easily with the screen press or an existing coating line.
Every line ships with electrical and pneumatic specifications adapted for the Russian and CIS markets (380V / 50Hz, EAC support). Installation, commissioning, and operator training are handled by our partner HD RUS LLC in the Moscow region.
Why converters choose this line
- Stop-cylinder screen press — ≤0.1 mm registration
- Heavy screen-laid varnish film — high gloss build
- UV lamps 10 kW × 3 for fast curing
- Wrinkle / texture effect lamp set (tactile matte-on-gloss)
- 1,100 mm effective curing width, conveyor 0–50 m/min
- Compact 1,200 kg curing unit, easy integration
Two units, one continuous pass.
The line is built from two spliced units. The screen press applies the UV varnish; sheets then feed straight into the UV/IR curing tunnel — no manual transfer between coating and curing.
Stop-Cylinder Screen Press
Classical stop-cylinder technology for high reliability, high precision, and low maintenance cost. Applies the UV varnish — full-flood or spot — with a heavy, even film that roller coating cannot match.
- Registration accuracy ≤0.1 mm
- Printing speed 500–4,000 sheets/h
- Max paper size 1060 × 900 mm
- Low noise, low maintenance, high automation
UV / IR Curing & Effect Unit
A curing tunnel combining UV lamps for cure, IR lamps for levelling, and a wrinkle-effect lamp set for tactile texture. 1,100 mm effective curing width with variable conveyor speed — compact, low weight, easy to integrate.
- UV lamps 10 kW × 3 for fast curing
- IR lamps 2.5 kW × 2 for varnish levelling
- Wrinkle-effect lamps 40 W × 4 (matte texture)
- Conveyor 0–50 m/min, curing width 1,100 mm

Curing throughput depends on varnish type, film thickness, and the effect being produced — high-gloss, spot-gloss, or wrinkle/matte texture. Conveyor speed is tuned to suit. The screen press governs maximum sheet size and registration. Specifications subject to continuous improvement.
What sets the line apart.
Engineered for high-volume premium packaging. Here is what differentiates it from generic UV coating machines in the same class.
Modular Splicing Design
Single machine or multi-module combination. Compact structure, strong compatibility. All SAGLIN lines share the GST-1060 base — add cold foil or hologram modules later as your finishing needs grow.
Heavy Screen-Laid Varnish Film
Screen printing lays down a far thicker varnish film than roller or blanket coating — the source of screen spot UV’s signature high build, sharp edges, and strong gloss-to-matte contrast.
Wrinkle & Texture Effects
A dedicated wrinkle-effect lamp set (40 W × 4) produces tactile matte-textured (orange-peel / wrinkle) finishes alongside high-gloss areas — a premium tactile contrast on covers and cartons.
Wide UV/IR Curing Tunnel
1,100 mm effective curing width with UV lamps (10 kW × 3) for cure and IR lamps (2.5 kW × 2) for levelling — even, fully cured films across the full B1 sheet width.
Mitsubishi PLC Control
Centralised PLC controller with color touchscreen HMI. Job memory for recurring artwork, one-key test run, all functional data displayed in real time.
Keyence Optical Detection
Front and pull-side gauges use Keyence (Japan) fiber optic detection. Photoelectric paper-presence detection — auto-deceleration on miss-feed.
Variable Conveyor Speed
Conveyor speed adjusts from 0 to 50 m/min, so cure intensity can be matched to varnish type, film thickness, and the effect being produced — gloss, spot-gloss, or wrinkle texture.
Schneider & Yaskawa Electrics
Schneider main electrical control gear, Yaskawa frequency converters. Stable system reliability with reduced maintenance over multi-shift production.
Where the line performs.
Designed for premium packaging segments where metallic decoration and high-gloss finishes drive shelf appeal. The line is widely used on paper and board, and on plastic sheet packaging.
Premium Covers & Jackets
High-gloss and spot-gloss UV on book covers, brochures, and catalogues, with matte-textured contrast areas for a tactile premium feel that ordinary roller coating cannot achieve.
High-Gloss Cartons
Heavy gloss build and drip-off / spot-gloss effects on cosmetics, confectionery, and luxury retail cartons — the protective UV layer doubles as decoration.
Textured & Wrinkle Finishes
Wrinkle / orange-peel matte textures, raised spot varnish, and high-gloss-on-matte contrast for greeting cards, gift packaging, and special-edition print work.
Want metallic foil too?
If you need metallic decoration alongside gloss, the SAGLIN-GUVY-CS line adds inline cold foil stamping to spot UV — and the SAGLIN-GUVY-ACS line adds hologram security on top. All three share the same SAGLIN-GST-1060 screen-press base.
