Overview

One platform for every lamination challenge in modern packaging.

Industrial lamination is the foundation of premium printed packaging. A high-quality top sheet — printed on offset or digital presses — is bonded to a structural bottom sheet of corrugated board, paperboard, or grey board, producing a finished blank ready for die-cutting, folding, and gluing into boxes. Get the lamination wrong and registration drifts, glue bleeds, and the entire downstream line slows down. Get it right, and a single operator can run 12,000 sheets per hour without touching the alignment.

“SAGLIN’s Lamination platform covers thirteen machine sizes across three engineering series — every converter, from the 800 mm boutique cardboard shop to the 2100 mm industrial corrugated plant, finds the right machine in our matrix.”

Our three series each address a distinct converter profile. The Flute Lamination Series delivers high-speed flute lamination for corrugated box producers running A–N flute and 3–7 ply boards. The Cardboard Lamination Series handles paperboard and grey-board lamination with ±0.5 mm precision for premium retail packaging — cosmetics, gift boxes, premium beverages. The Maestro 3-Ply Series introduces a unique three-sheet bonding mechanism for the most demanding luxury packaging applications. Around these are specialty machines — heavy-duty 5-ply flute laminators, automatic pile turners — that complete a full converting line.

Every machine ships with the same component standard: Siemens electrical, Becker vacuum, Schneider switchgear, Delta servo drives, SKF/NSK bearings on critical shafts. Power is configured for 380V / 50Hz operation as standard, with EAC certification arranged for Russian Customs Union delivery through our partner HD RUS LLC in Moscow.

Series 01 — High-Speed Flute Laminator

Flute Lamination Series — for corrugated & multi-ply.

Five working widths from 1180 mm to 2100 mm. Engineered for converters running single-flute (A–N) and multi-ply (3–7) corrugated boards or grey paperboard above 300 gsm. Servo-controlled offset feeder, dual-servo bottom feeder, multi-sensor registration. Top sheet 120–600 gsm; bottom sheet 0.5–10 mm.

Working Width 1180 – 2100 mm
How to choose within the Flute Lamination Series: Match the working width to the largest sheet size in your typical run plus 10–15% margin. DX-1450 covers most converter use cases (Russian B-flute and E-flute corrugated standards). Step up to DX-1650/1720 if you laminate full-pallet display blanks. DX-2100 is for industrial operations producing transit cartons for white goods or beverage. DW-1650 is purpose-built for 5–7 ply heavy-duty applications where standard machines struggle.
Series 02 — Auto-Precision Cardboard Laminator

Cardboard Lamination Series — for paperboard & cardboard.

Four working widths from 800 mm to 1410 mm. Engineered for the highest-precision lamination on paperboard, grey board, and cardboard up to 1800 gsm. ±0.5 mm registration accuracy — half the tolerance of the Flute series — for premium retail packaging where shelf appearance matters.

Working Width 800 – 1410 mm
How to choose within the Cardboard Lamination Series: The DX-1207 is the standard choice for cosmetics, gift boxes, and premium beverage packaging — covering 90% of premium retail SKUs. Choose DX-800 for niche boutique brands with smaller-format runs. Step up to DX-1210 or DX-1410 if your retail boxes exceed 720 mm in length (extended-length packaging, premium spirits, large gift sets). All four models share the same gluing system, ±0.5 mm precision, and component standard.
Series 03 — Maestro 3-Ply Lamination

Maestro 3-Ply Series — three sheets in one pass.

A specialist platform for the most demanding luxury packaging applications: top printed sheet + middle reinforcement layer + bottom structural board, bonded simultaneously in a single pass with synchronised servo alignment. Ideal for hardcover book covers, premium gift cases, and high-end electronics retail packaging where structural rigidity meets visual quality.

Status Coming Q3 2026
Why 3-Ply matters: Conventional two-sheet lamination requires two passes for a 3-layer book cover or rigid gift box, doubling the registration error budget and labour cost. The Maestro platform bonds all three layers simultaneously with a single registration cycle, achieving ±0.5 mm accuracy across all three layers and roughly 40% lower per-unit production cost on luxury packaging runs. Pre-launch inquiries from converters in Russia, Italy, and the Gulf are already being accepted — register interest below to receive the full specification when available.
Selection Guide

How to choose the right lamination platform.

Four common converter scenarios, mapped directly to the right SAGLIN model. If your case sits between two — talk to our engineering team.

Scenario A

“I laminate corrugated boards for shipping and transit cartons.”

You’re running printed top sheets onto single-flute (A–N) or multi-ply corrugated (3–7 layers). Volume matters more than tolerance — your downstream is die-cutting and slotting, not high-end printing.

Flute Lamination Series (1180–2100 mm) — start with DX-1450 if undecided
Scenario B

“I laminate paperboard for premium retail boxes — cosmetics, gifts, spirits.”

Shelf appearance is everything. Top sheet 100–800 gsm, bottom sheet 180–1800 gsm, ±0.5 mm registration so the lamination can run direct into die-cutting without trim losses.

Cardboard Lamination Series (800–1410 mm) — DX-1207 is the volume default
Scenario C

“I produce hardcover book covers, rigid gift cases, or 3-layer luxury packaging.”

You currently run 3-layer products through 2 passes — wasting registration tolerance and shift hours. You want a single-pass solution with all three layers bonded simultaneously.

Maestro 3-Ply Series — coming Q3 2026, register early interest
Scenario D

“I need 5-ply or 7-ply heavy-duty boards — for industrial transit, white goods, beverage.”

Standard flute laminators struggle above 4-ply. You need a purpose-built machine with twin bottom feeders that combines two single-flute boards into a 4-ply structural panel in one pass.

E-Commerce & Retail Logistics

Litho-Laminated Shipping Boxes

Printed top sheets bonded onto 3–5 ply corrugated for FMCG, electronics, and online retail. Volume box converters benefit from the Flute series stability on multi-shift runs without registration drift. Russian e-commerce (Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex Market) supply chains are scaling on this exact configuration.

Recommended: DX-1450 / DX-1650
Industrial Heavy-Duty

Transit Cartons for White Goods, Auto, Beverage

5-ply and 7-ply boards up to 10 mm thick. The Flute series dual-servo bottom feeder handles stiff multi-ply stocks that fail on chain-driven machines. For sustained 5-ply production, DW-1650’s twin-feeder configuration delivers structural panels at 5,000 sheets per hour.

Recommended: DX-1720 / DX-2100 / DW-1650
Premium Retail Packaging

Cosmetics, Spirits, Gift & Display

±0.5 mm registration so lamination feeds direct to die-cutting with zero trim losses. Surface finish matters — knurled stainless gluing roller, three-sensor glue level control, copper side stoppers prevent overflow at high speed. For 3-layer rigid cases (the next premium tier), the Maestro 3-Ply Series delivers single-pass production.

Recommended: DX-1207 / DX-1410 / DXs-1207 (Q3 2026)
Frequently Asked

Selection & investment questions.

Flute series vs Cardboard series — what’s the actual structural difference?
FL machines are engineered for corrugated and multi-ply boards (single-flute A–N, 3–7 ply, grey board ≥300 gsm) where the bottom sheet is 0.5–10 mm thick. They run at 30–170 m/min and target ±1.5 mm registration. CL machines are engineered for paperboard and cardboard (180–1800 gsm) — much thinner stock, higher precision, ±0.5 mm registration. Different gluing roller profile, different feed mechanism, different downstream pressing.
Single-flute vs multi-ply — which configuration do I need?
Single-flute (A, B, C, E, F, N flutes) is the most common: one corrugated layer between two liners. Multi-ply (3, 5, 7 layers) is used for transit packaging needing higher structural rigidity. All FL machines handle both — the choice is about your typical board thickness and downstream output. For 5-ply heavy-duty production, the DW-1650 specialty platform is purpose-engineered with twin bottom feeders.
How does the Maestro 3-Ply differ from a standard CL?
A standard CL machine bonds two sheets — top print + bottom structural. To produce a 3-layer rigid product (hardcover books, gift cases, luxury electronics packaging) on a standard machine, you laminate twice: pass 1 (top + middle), then pass 2 (laminated stock + bottom). This doubles your registration error budget and your shift hours. The Maestro platform bonds all three sheets simultaneously with synchronised servo alignment — single pass, ±0.5 mm across all three layers, roughly 40% lower per-unit cost on luxury packaging runs.
Do I need a Pile Turner — and which size?
A pile turner is recommended (not strictly required) for any operation that prints on offset, then laminates. After offset printing, the print side is up — to feed it as a top sheet to the laminator, the stack needs to be inverted as a single block without disturbing the order. Manual inversion of a 1500 mm stack is a two-person job. Match the pile turner to your largest sheet size: SAGLIN-DX-PT1250 for up to 1200 mm, SAGLIN-DX-PT1450 for up to 1450 mm, SAGLIN-DX-PT1650 for up to 1650 mm.
Single machine investment vs full production line — which makes sense?
A single laminator (DX-1450 or DX-1207) is the right starting point if you already have offset printing, die-cutting, and folder-gluer capacity in place — the laminator slots in as a missing link. A full Corrugated Packaging Line or Premium Cardboard Line (laminator + stacker + pile turner + optional varnishing/window-patching modules) is the right structure for a greenfield investment or a major capacity expansion, where the whole post-press section is being scaled together.
